The third ASEAN Future Forum will take place in Hanoi from June 9–10 under the theme: “Shaping a Shared Future Together: Peace, Prosperity and People-Centred Development”.
Speaking at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ regular press briefing on June 4, Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said: “To date, the organizing committee has recorded registrations from more than 600 delegates to attend the forum”.
She noted that the event will bring together key leaders and senior officials from Vietnam and other ASEAN member states, representatives of international organizations, research institutes, businesses, local authorities, as well as Vietnamese and international experts and scholars.
According to Ms. Hang, the third AFF will has a diverse and extensive agenda, including plenary discussions on topics such as resilience, conflict prevention, artificial intelligence (AI), energy security, and development models.
Activities within the framework of the forum will include a dialogue among Southeast Asian political parties, the ASEAN Cities Leadership Conference, a Mekong subregional roundtable discussion, a Southeast Asian youth roundtable, and a forum on AI governance.
AFF is an initiative launched by Vietnam to create an open, inclusive, and forward-looking platform where leaders, scholars, and business representatives can exchange views on strategic issues concerning ASEAN and the wider region.
The forums held in 2024 and 2025 were widely regarded as a successful, receiving strong support, attention, and participation from ASEAN member states and partner countries.
Discussions at the forum are expected to contribute additional perspectives, initiatives, and policy recommendations to support the implementation of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, with the goal of building a peaceful, cohesive, prosperous, resilient, self-reliant, sustainable, and people-centred ASEAN.
