#40 years

As many as 150 officials and experts from Vietnam and representative agencies of ASEAN countries attended an international workshop in Hanoi on December 8 marking 40 years of the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS 1982).

A gathering was held by the Embassy of Vietnam in Madrid, Spain to mark the 72th anniversary of the Vietnamese National Day and 40 years of diplomatic ties with Spain.

The Vietnam branch of UNESCO has been an effective bridge between the nation and the rest of the world, Pham Binh Minh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs said yesterday.
