The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs jointly held a ceremony in Hanoi on June 1 to launch the “Action for Children” campaign at the start of summer.

Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Duy Thang has stated that Vietnam will firmly deal with activities that violate the law and go against public morality in the name of religion while upholding the freedom of religion and beliefs. 

Beginning this month, doctors must write the identification number of a parent or supervisor on all prescriptions for outpatients under 72 months old, according to a new decree issued by Ministry of Health (MoH).  

Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh has issued a direction asking for prompt investigations into recent cases of child abuse and murder exposed by local media means.

Public concern is once again inspiring changes to education programmes in schools, with calls for more sex education to be included in the curriculum so that children can better protect themselves from sexual abuse.
