PSNews - The Vietnam CITES Management Authority in collaboration with the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources handed over 56 rhino horn DNA samples to the South African Embassy in Vietnam on June 1.

The Education for Nature-Vietnam (ENV) group has called on member countries of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) to vote against Swaziland’s proposal to legalise the rhino horn trade.

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) has called Vietnam for aggressive actions in preventing illegal trade of rhino horns. In case such illegal trade continues developing, Vietnam will have to face the sanctions.
