The local infection tally in Vietnam's latest COVID-19 wave has increased to 10,257 after the Health Ministry confirmed 47 more new community transmissions on June 21 morning.
The Health Ministry reported the detection of a further 57 new COVID-19 community transmissions in five localities on May 25 morning, taking the new coronavirus wave's tally to 2,405.
The US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on February 27 decided to remove Vietnam from the list of destinations vulnerable to community transmission of SARS-CoV-2.
