Police in the northern province of Hai Duong have decided to launch criminal proceedings against a truck driver following a fatal accident on National Highway 5 on July 23.

Police on January 20 launched criminal proceedings against Dinh La Thang, former Chairman of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), for his suspected violations regarding the Petrochemical and Bio-Fuel JSC – a subsidiary of this group.

The Investigation Police Agency under the Ministry of Public Security said on December 27 that it has started criminal proceedings against 10 defendants, including former General Director of the Dong A Bank (DAB) Tran Phuong Binh and former DAB Deputy General Director Nguyen Thi Ngoc Van.

The Investigation Police Agency under the Ministry of Public Security has begun criminal proceedings against the case of violating provisions on the management and use of State assets that causes losses and wastefulness, as well as a number of organisations and individuals in Ho Chi Minh City related to Phan Van Anh Vu (alias Vu Nhom).

The investigation agency under Hanoi police on September 18 issued a decision to institute a criminal case for the death of seven people following a music gala at Hanoi’s West Lake Water Park on September 16. 

The Investigation Police Agency under the Ministry of Public Security has begun criminal proceedings against Hoang Huu Chau for “swindling to appropriate assets” in the case relating to Phan Van Anh Vu (also known as Vu Nhom).
