The Vietnamese community in Laos continued to raise funds in support of local residents hit by the collapse of Sepien-Senamnoi hydropower dam on July 23. 

Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) on July 27 offered 1 billion VND (43,000 USD) to help Lao people overcome difficulties and stabilise their lives after the collapse of the Sepien-Senamnoi hydropower dam.

PSNews - Vietnamese agencies, businesses, organizations, and individuals have offered aid to victims of the collapse of the Sepien-Senamnoi hydropower dam in Sanamxay district of the Lao province of Attapeu.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has decided to provide 200,000 USD as relief aid for the Lao government to help the country in the aftermath of the collapse of the Sepien-Senamnoi hydropower dam. 

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has sent a message of condolences to her Lao counterpart Pany Yathotou over the collapse of the Xe Pian-Xe Nam Noy hydropower dam in Attapeu, Laos on July 23.

Attapeu Provincial Authorities have confirmed the death toll from flash flood in Sanamxay district, Attapeu Province as of now is 19 and more than 1,300 houses have been damaged by flash flooding triggered by the collapse of one of five subsidiary dams at Xepian-Xenamnoy hydro-power project.

Hundreds of people are missing and an unknown number dead after a dam under construction collapsed in south-east Laos, state media reported.
