 The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) on May 31 asked agencies to pilot the use of level 2 electronic identification (eID) authentication for air passengers at airports nationwide from June 1.

PSNews - The National Population Data Center under the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order on May 9 announced a new pilot plan to replace ATM cards with e-ID cards issued by the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

PSNews - Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc stressed that, as the deadline for the completion of the two projects set by the Government and the National Assembly is nearing while the workload remains huge, all public security agencies and units should speed up the realization of the projects.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on March 25, led a delegation to visit Khanh Hoa and work with six South Central provincial police on population database project and e-ID card project.

PSNews – The Bac Tu Liem District Police, Hanoi City, is currently issuing chip-based ID cards for local people.
