The High Command of Coast Guard Region 2 on February 22 saved seven fishermen in distress off the coast of the central province of Quang Nam.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa, in collaboration with Khanh Hoa Newspaper and DVA GROUP, on April 27 presented national flags to local fishermen who often work offshore in order to encourage them maintaining their operation at sea.

The Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Response and Search and Rescue said it will dispatch a helicopter to assist in the search for missing fishermen on request of Binh Thuan province.
