Central provinces of Vietnam are expected to endure a big spell of rain in a couple of days as typhoon Noru is moving fast toward the central region, according to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.
Torrential rains on a large scale struck the northwestern province of Dien Bien on the morning of July 30, posing severe risks of flashfloods, landslides, and massive flooding occurring in localities throughout the region.
Due to a mixture of cold air and the impact of the ninth typhoon of the season in the East Sea, torrential rain will hit the central highland province of Lam Dong, causing landslides, flashfloods and severe flooding, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
