During a meeting with the UNRWA official in Manila, the Philippines on July 22, Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Hoang Giang affirmed Vietnam’s consistent support for UNRWA’s role and operations, praising its efforts to maintain humanitarian, educational and healthcare assistance for Palestinians amid the complex situation.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel has advised Vietnamese citizens to strictly comply with regulations of countries in the Middle East region, regularly follow security warnings issued by local authorities and Vietnamese representative agencies, and avoid areas affected by conflict or at risk of unsafety.

Head of Vietnam’s Mission to the United Nations, Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, expressed his profound concern over the complicated situation in the Middle East, especially the escalating conflict and humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

Vietnamese Ambassador Duong Chi Dung, head of the Vietnam Permanent Mission to the UN, the WTO and other international organisations in Geneva, has stressed that Vietnam protests the use of force in the Gaza Strip. 

Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang has sent a message of condolences to President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas over the deaths and injuries of many Palestinians in the conflict in the Gaza Strip on May 14.

Vietnam keeps a close watch on and is concerned about the escalating violence in the Gaza Strip over the past days, leaving many Palestinians dead and injured, the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang said.
