FDI attraction - highlight in Vietnam’s economic growth
The General Statistics Office of Vietnam has released a report on Vietnam’s socio-economic development in the first five months of this year.
Nearly 517,900 businesses were operating in Vietnam in 2017, rising 51.6% from the figure recorded in 2012, according to the general economic census announced by the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO) on September 19.
Natural disasters in the first nine months of 2017 left 169 people dead or missing, while causing damages estimated at nearly VND 21.5 trillion (US$946 million), according to the latest statistics from the General Statistics Office of Vietnam.
The country’s exports in September is estimated to reach US$15 billion, down 6.8% compared to August, according to the latest statistics from the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO).
