PM Chinh underscored the importance of reinforcing ASEAN’s strategic self-control by strengthening the bloc's solidarity and centrality. An ASEAN with strategic self-control must be consensus-driven, cohesive, balanced and flexible in its external relations. The bloc should play an active role in shaping the regional order and fostering international cooperation amid growing global uncertainties.

The roles of culture and tourism in global integration were discussed at an international conference taking place in Tuy Hoa city, the central province of Phu Yen on February 18.

2016 saw significant achievements in Vietnam’s external relations and international integration. The country has been acting as a responsible member of the world community, paving the way for new diplomatic landmarks in 2017.

Hanoi - Strong social dialogue, better working conditions and improved productivity will define economic progress in Vietnam, as it enters a new era of global integration.
