#Greater Mekong sub-region

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Chairman of the National Committee for AIDS, Drug and Prostitution Prevention and Control, led the Vietnamese delegation to the 14th Ministerial Meeting of the Signatories to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Drug Control in the Greater Mekong Sub-region, taking place in Beijing (China) on September 6.

Vietnam has got better connected with other countries in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) thanks to a wide range of projects on transport infrastructure development conducted within this cooperation framework.

Vietnam has actively taken part in developing initiatives for enhanced cooperation within the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) to boost economic growth, strengthen economic connectivity and aid poverty reduction effort in the region.

A string of summits which aim to further links among Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) countries will take place in Hanoi from October 24-26.
