The Health Ministry confirmed a further 248 positive COVID-19 cases at midday on July 6, with Ho Chi Minh City suffering the highest number of infections at 209, raising its infection tally in the ongoing wave to 7,114.

A total of 48 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected domestically across three localities, including 35 in Bac Giang, 11 Bac Ninh, and two in Hanoi, according to a report by the Ministry of Health released at noon on May 31.
