#IPU 137

Vietnam is seen as an active and responsible member of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) with substantive contributions to the IPU Assembly, said Chairman of the National Assembly (NA)’s Committee for External Relations Nguyen Van Giau.

A high-level Vietnamese NA delegation led by the National Assembly Chair Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan arrived in Pulkuvo airport, Saint Petersburg on October 14 to attend the 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-137), and related meetings.

Vietnam’s presence at the 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-137) and related meetings will confirm the country’s active participation in multilateral parliamentary activities and help promote its legislature’s role at the IPU forum.
