Over the past 10 editions, with diverse and practical activities, the festival has affirmed its important role in enhancing cultural exchanges, boosting trade, investment and tourism promotion, and strengthening friendship and mutual understanding, according to Pham Dut Diem, Director of the municipal Department of External Relations.

The Japan-Vietnam Festival is a win-win event which has become a highlight in the bilateral cultural partnership over the years, said Tsutomu Takebe, Special Advisor to the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance.

A ‘Vietnam Festival in Aichi 2018 – Ho Chi Minh City Integration and Development’ program has been held in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, attracting thousands of participants and particularly highlighting the twinned relations between HCM City and Aichi Prefecture, and between the two countries.

The second Vietnam-Japan Cultural and Trade Exchange (Vietnam-Japan Festival) will take place in the Mekong delta city of Can Tho on November 11-13, organizers have told a press conference in the city.

HCMC - Ho Chi Minh City is preparing for the Japan Festival to be held in the city from November 18-20.
