ILO welcomes new Labour Code
The International Labour Organisation (ILO) has welcomed the new rights of workers and employers in Vietnam from January 1 as the revised Labour Code adopted in 2019 takes effect.
The revised Labour Code will the focus during the sitting of lawmakers on June 12 in the ongoing 7th session of the 14th National Assembly.
Legislators will spend the entire afternoon of May 29 to discuss in groups about Vietnam’s joining the International Labour Organisation (ILO)’s Convention 98 on the application of principles of the right to organise and bargain collectively; and the draft revised Labour Code.
