#Millennium Development Goals

Alongside being a great example in implementing the Millennium Development Goals and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (UN), Vietnam has again been highly valued by the international community as the country has successfully protected its people from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vietnam has recorded substantive improvement of its stature since it became a member of the United Nations (UN) four decades ago, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh affirmed in an interview posted on the Government web portal.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has suggested the Swedish side continue supporting Vietnam in realising millennium development goals (MDGs) and enhance cooperation with the country in trade, education-training, science-technology and health care.

President Tran Dai Quang on October 21 expressed his delight at the growing relationship between Vietnam and the UN during the past five years while receiving UN Resident Coordinator in Vietnam Pratibha Mehta in Hanoi.
