An array of beauties hailing from Thailand and the Philippines are considered to be among the leading Southeast Asian rivals to Nguyen Khanh Van, the Vietnamese representative at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant.

 Miss Universe 2020 organisers have announced their plan to delay this year’s competition due to complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing Vietnamese representative Khanh Van additional time to prepare for the contest.
