Prime Minister Le Minh Hung noted that the military has demonstrated strong strategic awareness and responsiveness, accurately assessed developments, and effectively advised the Party and State on military and defence matters. These efforts have enabled the flexible and effective handling of emerging situations, maintained a proactive posture, prevented surprises and firmly safeguarded national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

State President Luong Cuong attended a national political-military conference in Hanoi on December 26, during which he underlined the need for the entire army to continue sticking to the all-people defence and people’s war strategy to protect the Fatherland in the new context, following the principle that the people are the root.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the national political-military conference on July 10 to review the leadership and direction over military and defence affairs in the first six months of 2024 and launch tasks for the rest of the year.
