The resort island of Phu Quoc in southern Vietnam is initiating plans to pilot receiving Russian visitors as of August in a closed tourism model through a vaccine passport pilot scheme.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received Russian Ambassador to Vietnam, Konstantin Vasilievich Vnukov in Hanoi on November 29 during which, he appreciated cooperation priorities given to the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A grand ceremony was held in Hanoi on November 5 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution (November 7).
