As many as 328 people have tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in 11 Vietnamese cities and provinces during the past 12 hours, raising its cumulative tally of infections to 20,261.
A total of 264 new cases of COVID-19, including 259 local transmissions, and five imported ones were detected on June 18 by the Ministry of Health, with Ho Chi Minh City suffering the highest number of infections at 149.
A total of 81 fresh domestic cases were confirmed positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus by the Ministry of Health in the current hotspots of Bac Giang and Ho Chi Minh City on June 18 morning, raising the national local infection tally to 8,994 in the latest coronavirus wave.
An additional 66 domestic COVID-19 cases and four imported infections were recorded over the past 12 hours to 6 a.m on June 10 morning, said the Health Ministry.
