PSNews - The People’s Committees of northern Vinh Phuc province and Tam Dao district held a ceremony on December 2 to announce the award honouring Tam Dao as the world’s leading town destination in 2022. Thanks to its cool climate, Tam Dao town has long been a popular attraction in northern Vietnam for domestic and foreign visitors.

Tam Dao, a small mountainous town in the northern province of Vinh Phuc, just 70km from Hanoi, has made it an attractive destination for visitors on weekends and holidays thanks to its cool weather throughout the year like Da Lat and Sa Pa.

Tay Thien festival, one of the major spiritual events in the north, began in Tam Dao district, Vinh Phuc province on March 12, drawing a wave of local residents and tourists.

For the San Diu ethnic group that lives in the northern province of Vinh Phuc, singing is a daily ritual.
