Since 2014, more than 500 officers of Vietnam’s armed forces have joined United Nations (UN) peacekeeping missions in several countries, and their effort and work results have been praised by the UN and international friends.
The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a ceremony on October 10 to send 3 police officers to UN peacekeeping missions.
Vietnam needs to prepare personnel to meet the requirements of higher positions in United Nations (UN) peacekeeping missions, and continue to send candidates, especially female staff, to the UN headquarters, Colonel Mac Duc Trong, deputy head of the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations, has said.
