Helicopter carrier Izumo and destroyer Murasame of the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force on June 14 anchored at Cam Ranh International Port in the south central province of Khanh Hoa, beginning a four-day visit to Vietnam. 

Two training vessels of the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force arrived at Tien Sa port on March 6, beginning a visit to the central city of Da Nang.

After nearly a year, the Chu Lai port expansion project of the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone in Quang Nam has been completed. The port has expanded the zone’s logistics service chains to make it a key logistics hub in the central region.
