#Vietnam - Malaysia

Malaysia attaches importance to and desires to develop a strategic partnership with Vietnam, Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs Senator Zambry Abdul Kadir stated.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his spouse welcomed Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim and his spouse, who are paying an official visit to Vietnam, at a ceremony held in Hanoi on July 20.

Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and his Malaysian counterpart Saifuddin Abdullah on November 15 co-chaired the sixth session of the Joint Commission for Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the two countries.

Trade and investment ties between Vietnam and Malaysia are expected to enjoy a new driving force created by the recently established Malaysia-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce (MVCC).
