The Vietnam Social Security (VSS)’s digital transformation efforts have helped provide chip-based ID cards for health insurance at more than 4,000 medical facilities across the country.
As of April 2022, nearly 1.5 million COVID-19 infected employees have benefited from the country’s social insurance law with the sickness benefits amounting to 1,900 billion VND, according to the latest statistics of Vietnam Social Security (VSS).
The Vietnam Social Security has confirmed the list of over 795,000 workers who are eligible for financial support in 62 cities and provinces under the Government's Resolution 68/NQ-CP and the Prime Minister's Decision 23/QĐ-TTg on policies supporting employees and employers affected by COVID-19.
The Vietnam Social Security (VSS) will take over the rotating chairmanship of the ASEAN Social Security Association in the 2018-2019 term.
