The Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) will open a logistics centre for container shipping on December 17 as part of moves to restructure the State-owned firm, according to Deputy Director General Do Thi Ngoc Trang.

State-owned shipping firm Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) will trade 5.4 million shares on the Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM) on October 8, announced by the Hanoi Stock Exchange.

Vietnam’s state-owned shipping giant Vinalines announced conducting its equitisation by staging its initial public offering (IPO) in mid-2018.

The Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) will maintain its controlling stake in major ports and divest from others as it targets increased efficiency and profitability of core services over the next five years.

The Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) plans to develop a large-scale logistics centre in the capital city of Hanoi as part of its development strategy for  2020, thoibaotaichinhvietnam.vn reports.
