Vietnam is striving to prevent, reduce and eliminate illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing in an effort to remove the European Commission (EC)’s ‘yellow card’ warning as part of a scheme on IUU fishing prevention and control by 2025.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) has taken synchronous measures in order to remove the European Commission (EC)’s “yellow card” warning against illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing in Vietnam next year.
Vietnam’s aquatic products are forecast to bring home US$9 billion from exports in 2018, up 7% from the previous year, said the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).
