100% local voters nominate General To Lam as candidate for National Assembly election

The People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quan Thanh ward (Ba Dinh district, Hanoi) held a meeting on March 23 to collect voters’ opinions about 9 nominated candidates for the 15th National Assembly who are residing in the ward.

According to a representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quan Thanh ward, the nine nominated candidates for the 15th National Assembly are: 

- Standing Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Vo Van Thuong; 

- Hanoi Municipal Party Committee Secretary Vuong Dinh Hue; 

- Minister of Public Security, General To Lam; 

- Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac;

-Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu; 

- Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh; 

- Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man; 

- Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Office Le Khanh Hai; 

- Standing Member of the Finance and Budget Committee of the 14th National Assembly Nguyen Van Chi.

Voters of Residential Group 6 affirmed that the candidates are all leaders of the Party, the State and Central-level agencies with a strong political position and good morals. These persons and their families set a good example in implementing the Party's guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, and regulations of the local authorities and the residential group. They also actively participate in and make great contributions to local movements.

On behalf of the candidates, Mr. Vo Van Thuong thanked the trust of the local people in all the nine candidates, saying that they are all ready to run for the election of the next-tenure National Assembly (NA). If they are elected to be NA deputies, they will try their best to successfully fulfill the responsibilities of NA deputies and contribute to the development of the country and happiness of the people.

100% of the local voters at the meeting voted by show of hands, agreeing all nine candidates to stand for the election of the 15th National Assembly.
