Armed forces continue to play core role in mass mobilization work

The Central Mass Mobilization Commission in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) co-held a meeting to review the coordination program to implement the mass mobilization work between the Central Mass Mobilization Commission and the armed forces in 2024, on December 30th, in Hanoi.

Member of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission Mai Van Chinh chaired the meeting.

The meeting saw the presence of Member of the Party Central Committee and Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission Pham Tat Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung and Deputy Chief of the VPA General Department of Politics Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung.

According to reports delivered at the meeting, in 2024, the Central Mass Mobilization Commission, MPS and the VPA General Department of Politics coordinated to implement the mass mobilization work in an effective, synchronous and comprehensive manner in line with the functions and tasks of each agency.

Through mass mobilization, the armed forces have mobilized the synergy of the entire political system and all people to build the national great unity, protect political security and ensure social order and safety, contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Party, the State and the armed forces in the new situation.

At the meeting, delegates deeply analyzed the results of the forces’ coordination in implementing the mass mobilization work, and proposed approaches to enhance the effectiveness of their coordination in 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung underlined the Public Security Forces’ success in building mass mobilization models, saying that the Public Security Forces have organized the “All People Protecting National Security” festival nationwide over the past years.

Regarding key tasks in the coming time, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung proposed that the Central Mass Mobilization Commission, the Public Security Forces and the Army should carry out specific programs to mobilize all people to participate in ensuring absolute security and safety for the Party congresses at all local levels in the buildup to the 14th National Party Congress.

Concluding the meeting, Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission Mai Van Chinh underscored that the achievements of the three agencies in realizing the coordination program reflected the important role of the armed forces in the mass mobilization work, significantly contributing to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland, building the Party and building a clean and strong political system.

The Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission requested that the Public Security Forces and the Army continue to participate actively in consolidating and enhancing the operational efficiency of the grassroots-level political system, while closely coordinating with organizations and agencies of the political system to promote mass mobilization as well as other patriotic emulation movements, contributing to building and strengthening the people's defense posture, the people's security posture and the people's heart posture.
