Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption examines counter-corruption in Phu Tho

The working delegation from the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, led by its Deputy Head, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security, on September 27 began their inspection of anti-corruption work in Phu Tho. 

Attending the meeting were the leaders of Phu Tho province.

At this working session, the delegation will inspect the inspection, prosecution, investigation, prosecution of the serious economic and corruption cases in Phu Tho province.

Speaking at the working session, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam stressed, under the leadership of the Party, the prevention of corruption at all levels was implemented synchronously and achieved positive achievements.

During the working session, permanent Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Quang reported that the investigation, prosecution and trial of corruption and economic cases in Phu Tho province has been taken seriously.

In the last 5 years, the northern province of Phu Tho has brought to trial 75 economic and corruption cases with 163 defendants. Through investigation, prosecution and adjudication, Phu Tho has recovered VND35billion from the cases, he reported.

After the report of the Phu Tho provincial leader, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam noted the initial results of the provincial authorities in the prevention against corruption.

He also urged local authorities to closely co-ordinate with the team to inspect local units on implementation of the Party’s direction on fighting cases of corruption as well as investigation and prosecution of corruption in the province.

On this occasion, on behalf of the working delegation from the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam has handed VND1 billion from donations to help Phu Tho province to redress existing temporary housing.
