The Inspection Team No. 8 of the Central Steering Committee for prevention of corruption and wrongdoings on May 30 worked with the Public Security Central Party Committee (PSCPC)

The Inspection Team No. 8 of the Central Steering Committee for prevention of corruption and wrongdoings on May 30 worked with the Public Security Central Party Committee (PSCPC) on a plan to inspect the PSCPC’s leading Party organizations of public security agencies and units in dealing with and handling reports and petitions regarding corruption cases, economic cases, and wrongdoings of groups and individuals in performing their duties.

The inspection also focused on assessment and appraisal of lost assets in corruption cases and economic crimes.

Member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy Le Minh Tri led the Inspection Team while Vice Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission Nguyen Minh Quang was the deputy.

14 other members of the team were leaders of concerned ministries, the PCC’s Commissions for Internal Affairs, Inspection, , the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Supreme People's Court, the Governmental Inspectorate, the State Audit, and the Office of the National Assembly.

Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, namely Minister, Secretary of the PSCPC General To Lam, Deputy Minister Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister Major General Nguyen Van Long, and other leaders of various units under the ministry attended the working session with the Inspection Team No. 8.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Minh Tri stressed that the inspection team would fairly assess advantages, achievements, shortcomings and the causes of those problems regarding the PSCPC’s leadership of the Public Security Forces in the abovementioned working aspects as well as recommend solutions to improve the efficiency of the handling of crime reports and the evaluation of corrupt assets.

For his part, Minister To Lam emphasized that the PSCPC would direct its concerned sub-units to submit relevant reports and documents to the inspection team as well as create favorable conditions for it to complete the inspection.
