Continuing the work program in the Central Highlands, on the afternoon of September 20, the working mission of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-corruption led by Politburo member and Minister of General To Lam, who is also Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-corruption and Head of Inspection Team No. 4, worked with Standing Board of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee.

Overview of the meeting.

Reporting to the working mission on the socio-economic development, the security and defense situation, and the work of preventing and fighting corruption and negative acts in the province, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee Dieu K'ré said that the COVID-19 pandemic in the province has now been basically controlled while the local economy has gradually recovered and achieved important results.

In the first 6 months of 2022, the province’s economic growth rate increased 6.33%, budget revenue reached VND 2,434 billion or 81% of the year’s plan, the order and security situation was stable, Party building was enhanced, and political system was strengthened.

Regarding the results of anti-corruption work, in recent years, the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee Dak Nong has directed all Party committees, authorities, branches, and internal affairs agencies in the province to resolutely prevent and combat corruption and negative acts.

Speaking at the meeting, General To Lam highly appreciated the socio-economic results and order, security and defense in Dak Nong province as well as the leadership of the Standing Board of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee in preventing and combating corruption and negative acts.

Regarding the work of ensuring security and order, General To Lam asked the Standing Board of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee to direct relevant local agencies and units to always grasp the situation and strengthen the management of bad elements while focusing on ensuring border security, regularly checking the planning and the management and use of land in the province, and completely settling complex and lengthy disputes and lawsuits to avoid the formation of complicated security hotspots.

Regarding the work of preventing and combating corruption and negative acts, General To Lam asked the Standing Board of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement guidelines of the Party and the State's laws on anti-corruption, strengthen inspection and supervision of sensitive areas, swiftly detect and drastically handle cases with signs of corruption, negative acts and wrongdoings in accordance with the mottos "Preventing corruption from the roots, detecting corruption early, handling corruption from the beginning not to let small violations become big ones" and "Handling one corruption case to warn the entire sector and the region."
