Delegates to the first working day of the 13th National Party Congress all expressed their strong belief in the success of the event and expected that the congress will issue strategic guidelines for the country to develop sustainably in the next five years and beyond. Feelings and thoughts of several delegates to the 13th National Party Congress have been recorded by reporters from the PSNews as follows:

Commander of the Mobile Police, Lieutenant General Pham Quoc Cuong hopes that the Congress will issue strategic guidelines for the long-term sustainable development of the nation in general and the building of the Public Security Forces in particular.

He also noted that the 13th National Party Congress is of great significance. The delegates seriously follow the congress’s motto “Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Creativeness – Development.” The Mobile Police Commander vowed that he will make positive contribution to the success of the Congress, and in the long run he will advice the Public Security Central Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to issue appropriate policies and guidelines on building the Mobile Police Force so that the force can successfully fulfill its main tasks of protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong, the Head of the Commission of Education and Communications under the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, said, she would deliver ideas and recommendations of the local people to the Congress. According to her, the 16-member delegation from Tay Ninh had met twice to carefully study the draft documents of the Congress and they will give constructive opinions and ideas to the draft documents during discussion sessions.

“From the point of view of Party members working at the grassroots level, we will give our mind to the draft documents of the 13th Party Congress, contributing to making them perfect before they will officially be disseminated and implemented by Party members and people”, said Huong.

Huong also shared that her most concern is Party building. According to her, the issue is significant to national development.

Major General Pham Ngoc Viet, Director of the Homeland Security Department under the Ministry of Public Security, strongly believed that the 13th National Party Congress will be a big success.

He also hopes that the Congress would elect a Party Central Committee capable of leading the country to sustainable development in the next five years and beyond.

He also hopes that the Party and State will give further directions to improve the capacity of the homeland security force so that the force can always maintain national security, firmly protect the revolutionary achievements and national interests, and successfully safeguard the Party, State, people and the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.
