The Department of Organization and Personnel under the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to celebrate its recent reception of the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces,” on the morning of January 25 in Hanoi.

Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang attended and delivered a keynote speech at the event.

Previously, on December 27, 2025, at the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, on behalf of the Party and State leadership, General Secretary To Lam awarded the noble title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” to the Department of Organization and Personnel under the Ministry of Public Security.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Minister Luong Tam Quang extended his congratulations to the Department of Organization and Personnel and acclaimed its outstanding achievements over recent years.

The Minister requested that the leadership, officers and enlistees of the Department of Organization and Personnel should attach much importance to proactively advising and substantively implementing the Party’s new thinking on personnel work, with a view to creating breakthroughs in developing high-quality human resources, particularly those to work in digital transformation and the development of the security industry.

Minister Luong Tam Quang also urged the department to continue adjusting and decentralizing responsibilities and functions, while promptly resolving difficulties and bottlenecks, ensuring that the three-tier public security model operates in a truly smooth, effective, efficient manner.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Lieutenant General Hoang Duc Lung, emphasized that the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” awarded to the Department is a noble honor conferred by the Party and the State in recognition of particularly outstanding achievements, the significant contributions and dedication of generations of leaders and officers of the department in different periods.

The Director affirmed that, with high determination and great effort, the Department of Organization and Personnel will continue to thoroughly grasp and work following the action slogan of the People’s Public Security Forces, “Following Uncle Ho’s teachings – Renewing thinking, enhancing knowledge – Regular and modern – Devoted to the Party and the people,” while taking the lead in implementing the emulation movement “Three Best: Most Disciplined – Most Loyal – Closest to the People.”

The Director vowed that the entire officers and staff of the department will consistently foster a strong sense of responsibility and unity to overcome all difficulties and successfully fulfill all assigned tasks.
