According to Deputy Minister Giang, PM Chinh gave proposals to augment co-operation among Asian and European countries while addressing the 13th ASEM Summit held on November 26.

The PM stated that the countries should remain united and join hands in order to boost global co-operation since no nation can single-handed deal with global issues.

The Government leader noted that they should therefore move to bolster co-operation to share and ensure equal access to COVID-19 vaccines and treatment drugs, with developed nations assisting developing countries to improve the capacity of coping with global issues.

PM Chinh went on to underline the need to accelerate digital transformation and human resource training for developing and poor countries. This should be done while strengthening public-private partnership in a bid to mobilise resources for development. As a means of contributing to this process, the nation will organise an ASEM roundtable meeting on the digital economy in 2022.

Furthermore, the PM also shared Vietnamese efforts and experience in its COVID-19 response, socio-economic recovery, and development, highlighting the country's implementation of measures to safely and flexibly adapt to and effectively control the spread of the pandemic.

PM Chinh affirmed that through these measures, the nation stands ready to beef up co-operative ties with ASEM nations for the goal of achieving peace, development. and prosperity in both Asia and Europe.
