Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh receives delegation of US-ASEAN Business Council

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on March 4 in Hanoi hosted a meeting with a high-level business delegation of the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC).

The USABC's delegation was led by Mr. Michael Michalak, Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of the USABC.

At the meeting, on behalf of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Thanh highly appreciated the roleof the USABC, considering it as the leading representative organization for various major US corporations which are investing and doing long-term business in Vietnam and other ASEAN countries.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh assured that the Vietnamese Government in general and the Ministry of Public Security in particular always support and want to promote relations and cooperation between the two countries, particularly in trade and investment in large programs and projects to take advantage of the Industry 4.0.

The Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Public Security hoped that the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and US businesses would expand cooperation in the areas of mutual concern such as securityindustry and network security.

On behalf of the USABC, Mr. Michael sincerely thanked Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh for his warm welcome. He spoke highly of the major developments in multi-faceted relations and cooperation between the two countries over the past time.

He also reaffirmed that these developments will serve as a premise for the two sides to continue the existing areas of cooperation as well as to expand the bilateral cooperation to new areas in the time to come.

Mr. Michael Michalak hoped that the Vietnamese Government in general and the Ministry of Public Security in particular will continue to create favorable conditions for US businesses to invest and do business in Vietnam in a stable and long-standing manner.
