DIC marks 5th founding anniversary

The Department of Information and Communication (DIC) under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a ceremony on August 4 to mark its 5th founding anniversary (August 6, 2018 – 2023) and receive Third-class “Fatherland Protection” Order.

Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a keynote speech at the event.

The ceremony saw the presence of Major General Do Trieu Phong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the DIC, and leaders from the MPS, agencies and units of the MPS.

Major General Do Trieu Phong, delivering his speech at the event, highlighted the work results and achievements of the DIC over the past time. The department was awarded the “Emulation” Flag by the MPS for many years in a row while public security press agencies and publishing units under the department were presented with honors of all kinds. A large number of journalists and officers working in the Public Security Forces have won high prizes in writing competitions, press awards while hundreds of officers and subunits of the department were honored by leaders at all levels for their outstanding achievements over the pát five years.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To applauded the great achievements gained by the DIC over the past time.

Notably, the DIC received the “Emulation” Flag from the MPS in 4 consecutive years (2018-2021) and other certificates of merit while the Public Security Newspaper was honored with the First-class “Labor” Order, the Public Security Publishing House received the Second-class “Labor” Order, and the Public Security Television was presented with the Third-class “Labor” Order.

Addtionally, press workers at the department won Central and local -level press awards.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To also urged the DIC to pay more attention to the Party and force building while implementing  professional assignments.

On this occasion, under the authority of the State President, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To presented the Third-class “Fatherland Protection” Order to the DIC.
