Enhancing the role of Party committees of all levels in anti-corruption work

 A working group of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-corruption resumed on the morning of September 20, in Buon Ma Thuot City to announce the draft report on the results of a recent inspection of the Standing Board of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee.

Politburo’s member and Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-corruption General To Lam chaired the meeting.

On behalf of the inspection team, Director of the Local Affairs Bureau of the Central Committee for Internal Affairs Nguyen Xuan Truong announced the draft results of inspection of the leadership of the Dak Lak the Provincial Party Committee as well as wrongdoings and signs of corruption at the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee and a number of local agencies in Dak Lak province.

The report read that the Standing Board of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee annually draws up and implements a plan to inspect the prosecution, investigation, prosecution and trial of corruption, economic and criminal cases of great public concern as well as conducts socio-economic inspections in localities and units in the province in accordance with resolutions of higher-level Party agencies and the laws.

Concluding the meeting, General To Lam stated that the Standing Board of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee’s leadership had followed the Party's guidelines and the State’s policies and laws on anti-corruption, as well as procedures for receiving and handling denunciations and reports about crimes, and signs of corruption and wrongdoings in economic activities.

General To Lam suggested that in the coming time, the Standing Board of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee continue to strengthen leadership in implementing key tasks while raising awareness and responsibility of Party committees and local authorities of all levels in receiving and handling denunciations and reports on crimes and corruption.

General To Lam also suggested improving the role of Party committees and heads of agencies, organizations and units in anti-corruption work, resolutely handling corruption cases, including "petty corruption," and strengthening the mechanism to protect whistleblowers of corruption and crime.
