General To Lam attends Party Congress of Nghia Tru commune

The Party Committee of Nghia Tru commune, Van Giang, Hung Yen held their 25th Communal Party Congress for the term 2020-2025, on May 18 and 19.

The event saw the presence of General To Lam, Politburo Member and Minister of Public Security; Mr. Do Tien Sy, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation of Hung Yen; and  leaders of Van Giang district and Nghia Tru commune.

According to reports at the congress, over the past term, the Party Committee, Party cells and Party members in the commune have closely followed the Congress’s Resolution, proposed realistic and effective solutions, led the local political system to implement socio-economic development, national defense and security, and build a clean and strong local Party organization and communal government.

Delegates at the event pointed out various shortcomings, analyzed the causes and drew lessons from the leadership of the Party Committee of the previous term.

The congress selected 15 outstanding Party members for the 25th Communal Party Executive Committee in the term 2020-2025, and elected an 11-member delegation to attend the Van Giang district Party Congress for the term 2020-2025.

Speaking at the event, General To Lam expressed his delight at the efforts and good results gained by the Party organization, authorities and people of Van Giang district in general and Nghia Tru commune in particular; and hoped that they would manage to overcome all difficulties and fulfil the objectives set at the 25th Congress, especially in building new-style rural areas and urban development in the next five years while paying more attention to social welfare and lives of poor people and policy beneficiaries.

On the occasion of the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, Minister To Lam and his entourage visited and paid tribute to Uncle Ho’s mother, Hoang Thi Loan, at the Hoang Thi Loan Memorial House in Van Noi village, Hong Tien commune, Khoai Chau district, Hung Yen.
