Lao General Secretary and President Bounnhang Vorachith welcomed in Hanoi

PSNews – General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong hosted a solemn welcome ceremony for General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of Laos Bounnhang Vorachith on the morning of December 19 at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi.

At the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and President Tran Dai Quang, Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of Laos Bounnhang Vorachith is paying an official visit to Vietnam from December 19-21. 

This is the second official Vietnam visit of the Lao leader during his tenure (2016-2021). It aims to reconfirm the Lao consistent foreign policy to attach special importance to preserving and promoting the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
