Minister To Lam meets voters in Bac Ninh

The National Assembly (NA) Delegation of Bac Ninh province had a meeting with voters of Dinh Bang ward, Tu Son town Bac Ninh on April 5.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security; Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee and other members of the NA Delegation of Bac Ninh and the provincial authorities attended the meeting with local voters and answered their questions.

MS. Tran Thi Hang, Vice Head of the NA Delegation of Bac Ninh briefed local voters on the projected agenda for the 14th NA’s 5th session. 

She also revealed that the upcoming NA session is scheduled to take place from May 21 to June 15 with a Q&A section, in which the mode “1 minute to ask - 3 minutes to answer” will continue to be applied. 

During this NA session, deputies will also review 8 bills, a draft resolution and other important socio-economic issues.

Voters of Dinh Bang showed much concern about compensation for land clearance, environmental protection, drug prevention and other issues. 

The Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Nhan Chien summarized the opinions of the voters into 13 lines, of which 12 ones belonged to the authorities of the province. 

He also promised to seriously collect and pass the voters’ opinions to the NA and relevant agencies.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam congratulated Bac Ninh in general and Tu Son town in particular on their achievements in socio-economic development. 

Regarding of the agenda for the NA session, Minister Lam revealed that the NA will focus discussion on continued draft laws and law projects while spending more time in questioning and answering. 

He also said that the Ministry of Public Security will introduce three laws compiled by the ministry, namely Cyber-security Law, the revised Law on People's Public Security Forces and the Amended Law on Amnesty.

Minister To Lam also answered some questions raised by voters related to the functions and tasks of the Ministry of Public Security. Responding to questions about national security, Minister Lam pointed out that the prime goals of the Party, State and people are to protect national independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity; maintain peace and stability of the country; ensure safety and happiness of the people; and promote economic development.

Regarding environmental issues, Minister To Lam underscored that, in the coming time, police forces will continue to strengthen coordination with functional sectors to well implement directions of the Government on environmental protection as well as resolute fight against environmental offences, while promoting public dissemination of legal regulations as well as showing tricks of criminals to people. 

He also said that the Ministry of Public Security will coordinate with other ministries and Central agencies to develop laws and create an effective legal corridor for prevention and fight against environmental crime.
