Minister To Lam meets with Secretary General of Mozambique Liberation Front Party

General To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security, who is leading a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security to visit Mozambique, on December 10 had a meeting with Mr. Roque Silva Samuel, Politburo Member and General Secretary of the Liberation Front of Mozambique Front (FRELIMO).

Minister To Lam thanked Mr. Roque Silva Samuel for the warm welcome and extended the regards from Secretary General of the Vietnam’s Communist Party and State President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong to leaders of FRELIMO and Mozambique’s Government on the victory of FRELIMO in the general election on October 15, 2019 and the signing of the Agreement on Peace and National Reconciliation on August 6, 2019.

The guest expressed his delight at the good development of the relationship between the two parties and the two countries in many fields over the years.

At the meeting, the Vietnamese Minister suggested that Mozambique offer preferential mechanisms and create favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses investing in Mozambique, particularly the Military-Run Telecommunication and Industry Group (Viettel) and Hanoi Trade Corporation (Hapro) as well as the Vietnamese community who are working and residing in Mozambique, thus contributing to building the friendship between the two countries.

Minister To Lam hoped that Mr. Roque Silva Samuel will pay more attention to furthering the cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Mozambique Ministry of Interior as well as other  relevant Mozambique agencies, contributing to ensuring national security, social order and safety of each country and maintaining peace, stability and benefits of the two peoples.
