Minister To Lam receives newly appointed RoK ambassador to Vietnam

General To Lam, Minister of Public Security on March 5th received Mr. Park Noh-wan, newly appointed Ambassador of Republic of Korea (RoK) to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Minister To Lam congratulated Mr. Park Noh-wan on his new position and wished him successes and fruitful results during his term of office in Vietnam, contributing to promoting the strategic partnership and cooperation between the two countries in general and between the Vietnamese MPS and the law enforcement agencies of RoK in particular.

The minister highlighted the trust and mutual understanding of thetwo countries, the cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the law enforcement agencies of RoK.

According to him, the bilateral relations and cooperation have developed in a practical and effective manner and achieved positive outcomes in many areas such as delegation exchange at all levels, crime control and national security.

He suggested that the ambassador in his working position serve as a bridge connecting the two countries and promote cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the RoK law enforcement agencies in the fields of capacity building for personnel of the two sides and information exchange.

Regarding the Covid-19 epidemic situation, which is developing complicatedly and spreading to many countries around the world, Minister To Lam hoped that the Government of RoK will soon have effective measures to successfully control the epidemic soon. He also affirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security is committed to maintain security and safety for the RoK’s nationals living and working in Vietnam.

Ambassador Park Noh-wan sincerely thanked Minister To Lam for the reception and affirmed that he will promote cooperation between the RoK’s law enforcement agencies and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security during his term of office in Vietnam, contributing to promoting mutual trust and effective cooperation between the two countries for benefits to the two peoples.
