Minister To Lam visits and offers gifts to wounded and sick soldiers

A delegation of leaders of the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front led by Politburo member and Minister of Public Security General To Lam visited and presented Lunar New Year (Tet) gifts to disadvantaged households, wounded soldiers in Bac Ninh province.

The delegation included Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Le Tien Chau, Chairman of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang, Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Nguyen Van Long, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan, as well as other leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Bac Ninh province and Ministry of Public Security.

General To Lam visits and offers gifts to wounded soldiers at Thuan Thanh Nursing Center.

Visiting wounded and sick soldiers at the Thuan Thanh Nursing Center, Bac Ninh province, General To Lam expressed delight at the work results that the center had achieved in taking care of wounded and sick soldiers in 2022.

In 2023 and the following years, General To Lam suggested, the center consider wounded and sick soldiers as their kin people, fully implement the State’s policies for wounded and sick soldiers, and keep in mind that taking care of wounded and sick soldiers is an honor and responsibility, contributing to successfully realizing the Party's “Gratitude returning” policy. 

General To Lam wished that wounded and sick soldiers would continue to lead happy, healthy and useful lives to see developments of the country.

During the visit, General To Lam presented gifts to the Thuan Thanh Nursing Center and handed 97 gifts to wounded and sick soldiers being treated at the center while the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Bac Ninh Provincial Police also offered gifts to the center and patients.

*After that, General To Lam and the Delegation held a Lunar New Year meeting with workers in difficult circumstances at the Khac Niem Industrial Grouping, Bac Ninh province.

On behalf of the delegation, General To Lam extended best wishes to the workers on the occasion of Tet.

In 2022, the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Confederation chapter implemented many measures to ensure health and safety as well as employment and income for local workers. Bac Ninh province was one of the localities that had provided much support for disadvantaged people and workers who had been severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

On the veranda of Tet, General To Lam suggested that Bac Ninh province and trade union chapters at all levels should implement social security policies, pay attention to and support disadvantaged workers, lonely people, workers who cannot return to their hometown to celebrate Tet or have to work during Tet.

On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented 200 gifts, and General To Lam gave 50 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances in the province.

*On the same day, the delegation visited and gave gifts to poor households and policy families on the occasion of the New Year of the Rabbit 2023 at the Vietnam Fatherland Front chapter of Bac Ninh province.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded 200 gifts while General To Lam presented 150 gifts to poor households and policy families in the province.

*Also during the trip to the province, General To Lam and the delegation visited the Bac Ninh Provincial Police Department.

At the meeting with local police officers, Minister To Lam congratulated and praised the achievements and results that the police force of Bac Ninh province had achieved in recent years. 

He sent Happy New Year wishes to all officers, soldiers and workers at the Bac Ninh Provincial Police Department, and suggested that the provincial police should strictly implement Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo on building truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern People's Public Security Forces to meet the task requirements of the forces in the new situation and build up the commune-level police force.

General To Lam requested the provincial police to actively grasp the situation, suppress criminals to protect local people during Tet in line with the direction of the Ministry of Public Security.

General To Lam presented 60 gifts from the Public Security Trade Union chapter to the commune-level police force.
