Minister To Lam visits Hung Yen ahead of Tet

General To Lam, Politburo’s Member and Minister of Public Security, paid a visit to the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee on January 26, on the veranda of the 2022 Lunar New Year (Tet).

Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Tran Van Thuat, Chief of the MPS Office Lieutenant General To An Xo, Director of the Organization and Personnel Department under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) Major General Hoang Duc Lung joined the minister.

Leaders of Hung yen province, namely Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Quoc Toan, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van, welcomed the delegation.

In his speech, Minister To Lam lauded the successes of the Party Committee, government, people and armed forces in Hung Yen province in 2021.

Although the province was severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the economic growth of Hung Yen still reached and exceeded the set targets.

Regarding the security and social order situation in the province, the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Hung Yen paid attention to leading the whole political system to take comprehensive approaches to maintain political stability and mobilize all people to fight crimes of all kinds.

The government of Hung Yen also provided medical supplies and supported other pandemic-hit localities to build field hospitals and treat COVID-19 patients. The local authorities also supported poor people and workers hard hit by the pandemic.

On the occasion of the 2022 Lunar New Year, Minister To Lam wished the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Yen province a new year full of health, happiness and more successes.

For his part, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia sent his best wishes to General To Lam and the People's Public Security Forces. He hoped that the forces will excellently complete their tasks of protecting national security and ensuring social order in new year.

On this occasion, Minister To Lam presented 100 gifts to policy beneficiary and needy families. Vice President Tran Van Thuat presented gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to workers in difficult circumstances.
