Minister To Lam works with voters of Bac Ninh province

PSNews-Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security and a delegation of deputies for the Bac Ninh Provincial National Assembly (N.A) met and worked with voters in Mo Dao Commune, Que Vo District, Bac Ninh.

The Minister of Public Security was accompanied by Mr. Nguyen Huu Quat, Vice Permanent Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Tien Nhuong, Deputy Permanent Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee.

Tran Thi Hang, Deputy Head of the Bac Ninh Provincial N.A delegation, briefed the voters on the outcomes of the 2nd session of the 14th National Assembly and the proposed working program for the 3rd session of the 14th National Assembly.

The voters of Mo Dao commune raised various questions, focusing on policies to invest in agricultural and rural development, and farmers; as well as policies on environmental protection or exploitation of sand and gravel; and application of science and technology in agricultural production.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Nhuong clarified a number of issues related to Bac Ninh province. In particular, Nhuong said that the provincial authorities has continuously issued policies to gradually increase the allowances for local officials, actively receive proposals of the people, and find solutions to supporting the output for local agricultural products. At the same time, he also affirmed that the province is willing to invest for vocation training for local labors, and apply science and technology in agricultural production.

In terms of environmental protection, Mr. Nhuong said that the province was currently home to 9 industrial zones, 8 out of which have waste treatment systems meeting necessary requirements while the remaining still lacks a waste treatment system due to various difficulties, and that the authorities had been directing to solve the problem as soon as possible.

To improve the environment in the rural areas and craft villages, the province also has given specific directions, including providing the highest support for addressing pollution, and requiring businesses to treat their discharges and supporting people in transporting and treating wastes.

Minister To Lam briefed the voters on a number of economic, social, security and order situations of the country, focusing on 4 main contents. He revealed that, the NA will discuss and pass some important laws and bills related closely to the people's life, such as amended and supplemented articles of the 2015 Penal Code, and the Laws on the management and use of weapons, explosives and support tools.

Minister To Lam also reported on issues of voters’ interests regarding security and order, land management, environmental and natural resources protection, food safety, and crime prevention and combat of the police force.

In the afternoon, the same day, Minister To Lam and the National Assembly delegation of Bac Ninh province met voters of Trung Kenh commune, Luong Tai district, Bac Ninh. Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee joined the working delegation.

Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh reported voters on the socio-economic development of the province after 20 years of its re-establishment. Answering questions of the voters, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh affirmed that the province is ready to support seeds and techniques for farmers. He also said that the province has basically resolved issues raised by the voters at the last meeting, creating favorable conditions for the people to develop their business and production.

Minister To Lam agreed on the general assessment of the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, expressed his honor to be elected as a member of National Assembly of Bac Ninh province - a province with the tradition of solidarity and political security. He also recognized the great contribution of the Bac Ninh authorities and people to the country's economic and social development. At the same time, the Minister briefly informed the voters of the country's socio-economic development and the crime prevention work by the police force.

In terms of excessive sand and gravel mining; overloaded trucks, traffic accidents, Minister To Lam agreed with voters of Trung Kenh commune, affirmed that he would direct the police forces to strictly handle the violations and at the same time propose the competent authorities to fix the root of the problems.
