Agencies, units, and organisations must maintain uninterrupted, efficient, and effective operations throughout the restructuring process, ensuring no disruptions to duties, services, or local activities, Party General Secretary To Lam requested on April 14.

Lam made the request while chairing the third meeting of the Central Steering Committee for summarising the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee on the continued restructuring of the political system for greater efficiency, which was also attended by Politburo members: State President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu.

The Party chief, who is also head of the central steering committee, said that the revolution of streamlining the political system’s organisational apparatus is being carried out urgently and decisively, earning high consensus within the Party and broad public support.

The results achieved so far demonstrate that the policies and decisions of the Party Central Committee and its Politburo and Secretariat are right and well-founded, matching both the Party's direction and the people's will, he affirmed. Emphasising the broad scope of work ahead, with closely interrelated tasks, Lam highlighted the need for the entire political system to uphold a strong sense of responsibility and improve coordination in execution. He noted that priority will be given to finalising guiding documents, amending the 2013 Constitution, and improving legal institutions and regulations to establish a robust legal framework for effective implementation.

Agencies at both central and local levels must proactively coordinate closely, consistently, and seamlessly in organising the implementation of tasks to ensure progress, timelines, and adherence to the plan.

The General Secretary also requested that all localities, including those not undergoing mergers, urgently complete the draft documents for the provincial-level Party Congresses.

The Party leader stressed that there is a heavy workload ahead, as the country is simultaneously undertaking major tasks - streamlining and reorganising the political apparatus, restructuring administrative units, accelerating economic development, and preparing for the Party congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Party Congress.

He called on members of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Steering Committee, and leaders of central agencies to demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and dedicate time and effort to leading, directing, inspecting, guiding, and urging the implementation of tasks to ensure progress and achieve the set goals and requirements.
